The Houston's unique patented design allows an incredible thirteen different positions, including 4 sitting recline positions, 4 chaise recline positions with the foot extension level to the floor, 4 chaise recline positions with the foot extension slanted to the floor, plus the flat or sleeping position. The back angle can be set to any of four positions and the foot-rest has swing down legs so that it can be used in the foot-up or foot-down position. Additionally the foot-rest section folds under out of the way for the sitting position. But that's not all, the Houston also quickly and easily converts to a 10 inch high platform bed by simply folding the back down flat and raising the foot-rest.

Like all Cottonwood frames, the mainframe is made of only solid woods. That's important, because only these woods can completely resist warping or splitting. No plywood or veneers are used; only solid hardwoods pass the Cottonwood test for long-lasting beauty & durability.

Built with 100% solid plantation grown Tulip Poplar, the Houston is made to last providing years of uncompromising use. The Houston has been carefully designed & manufactured by means of an environmentally friendly "green process." Our hard body futon frames are the strongest in the world with 6 stress support bars under each seat and back with 2 bolt 1 dowel construction.
